Mission
To harness the exhilarating sport of barefoot waterskiing as a catalyst for empowerment, inclusion and support for local families with children who are bravely enduring various conditions, disorders and diseases, in and around Pittsburgh, PA.
This 36 mile barefoot endurance race - with a purpose - is a testament to the persistence and strength of the families we strive to support.
As a registered 501C non-profit organization, we couldn’t do any of this without our sponsors, volunteers and donations that fuel Mon Mania behind the scenes. We are beyond grateful for the community that has grown up around us and we hope you will join us!

It promises to be another fantastic year! Our home team, Footloose, and about five other teams from all over the US will barefoot ski on Pittsburgh’s scenic Monongahela River, hoping to win the Mon Mania prized Winner’s Belt! As our racers step off the skis and step up their need for speed, our volunteers will be offering raffles, auctions and more.
Greene Cove Yacht Club has been kind enough to allow us to host our event for the past 5 years at their off-water venue. Grab some food, stop at the Tiki Bar and claim your spot to enjoy the action. All are welcome to enjoy the festivities after the race!
